We got the washer & dryer installed yesterday. They are actually smaller than what we had, but have larger capacity which is great.
With that, we’ve decide the remodel is officially complete. This will be my last post on this site. Stay tuned to www.wordpress.vandentravels.com for new posts as we set off for Branson this summer.

We went to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade yesterday. An hour and a half, mostly individuals walking (lots of political). Later in the evening, we went to Upstream for a beer. The old market was busy – street musicians, horse carriages and lots of people.

They Mart delivered our washer and dryer today. Unfortunately, they could install them so they are now in the living room. Turns out that since the other washer/dryer were one piece, they both ran off 220 electric. New washer news a 110 plug which we don’t have. So Monday, we have an electrican scheduled and the Mart will be back on Wednesday.
On the positive side, Cox Communication was here today and solved the problem with the intercom/security system!!! Someone had cut an old phone line off inside the cable box. This line would periodically short itself out. Remove cord, problem solved!!!

Scott came back today (I guess he missed us) and installed three shelves in the kitty area. That should help with storage.
Hope to see everyone Saturday night for the open house.

Scott returned his key on Friday, which means he’s finished. He is going to come back one more time and install some shelves in the kitty area.
I really like the way the doors in the hallway turned out. 
Meanwhile, we are continuing to clean and put stuff away.
If you’re downtown, stop in and see the place!! Don’t forget open house this coming Saturday, 7 pm.

Bedrooms now have new, clean carpet.
Scott is coming tomorrow to install “kitty” door and re-connect warm floor in master bathroom. Two of three warm floors are working.
We have to put all the stuff we had to move to carpet away. Did I mention, I still need to clean?
